I bought the smart lock that even cannot set a schedule to unlock!

I never lock my door since I came to Japan, becuase I was afraid that I don’t know how to talk to house manager if I lose my key. Even people consider that Japan is one of the safest countries in the world, sometime I worry about that my house will be robbed.

So I spend 3000 JPY to buy a smart lock in Mercari(a second-hand online market), it use special battery that is not easy to buy in market, I don’t happy about that(am not). According to official manual, two battery set can be used for 180 days.

It can be unlocked by using app, or using finger recognition device, face recognition device that has to purchase separately and put on the outsize. I don’t care about those functional, I just want to set a schedule that will lock the door in morning and unlock it in night.

But! When I installed it, I found that it cannot be setted a schedule in official app. so I try to use Alexa to set a schedule, BUT Alexa can only set for lock, there don’t have any option to set for unlock. finally I have to install Home Assistant(Open source home automation) in my server to solve this problem.
